In the dynamic realm of NBA basketball, few records captivate fans more than the astounding achievement of securing the most rebounds in a single game. This article delves into the awe-inspiring showcases of hustle that have defined this feat, transcending eras and showcasing the enduring dominance of players who left an indelible mark on the league through their remarkable rebounding prowess.

Before we start the article, we want to give a disclaimer. We all know that stats were not recorded as precisely in the past as they are today; before 1983, complete game-by-game stats for rebounds are harder to come by. We’ve tried our best to research and cross match from various resources to record these stats.

For the sake of this article, we’ll look at three separate groups. First, we’ll view Wilt and Bill separately, and then we’ll look at the two other players to record 40+ rebounds in a game. Finally, we’ll look at some post-1983 leaders.

Now without further ado, let’s have a look at the most rebounds recorded by an NBA player in a single game.

Most NBA Championships Won by a Player

(last updated on October 14, 2025)

One of the best barometers of a player’s impact is by the number of championships they have won. NBA titles perpetuate and accentuate a player’s legacy. When you discuss the best players of all time with friends, one of the first questions that comes up is … how many rings do they have? Of course, there are several NBA stars who never won a title that are still among the greatest of all time, but the players with the most NBA championships do tend to stand out in history. This list will look at the men with the most NBA championships as a player with a few caveats.

With all due respect to the Boston Celtics, many of the players with the most NBA titles all played for the first great Celtics dynasty. To avoid redundancy, this list will try to keep it to one player per dynasty. For instance, you won’t see both Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Also, there are a few guys who were fortunate to be involved with multiple dynasties. Enough of all the chatter. Let’s identify some of the players who have won the most NBA championships.

Most Points Scored in an NBA Game (player)

Posted by Darren Baker on March 29, 2024

(last updated on October 15, 2025)

There are certain records in American sports that seem to be untouchable and have reached mythical proportions. In baseball, you have DiMaggio’s 56-game hitting streak and Bonds’s 762 career homers. In football, you have Tom Brady’s seven Super Bowl Rings and Emmitt Smith’s 18,355 career rushing yards. In basketball, you have LeBron James’s 42,000+ career points and Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point game. These are iconic figures with mystical numbers.

That last record of Wilt’s has a surreal and this-will-never-be-broken feeling. In NBA history, only 10 players have ever scored as much as 70 points in a single game. The aforementioned Big Dipper actually registered 70 points or more six times in his exalted career. This list will look at the top single-game scoring performances in NBA history as of the moment, limiting it to just one game from each player on the list (otherwise the list would have four more Wilt games!).

You might be shocked to hear a semi-famous #23 won’t be on this list as he never hit 70 in a game. Of course, with some of the fiery scorers in today’s game, there could be five more entries to this club in the coming season: the most points scored in an NBA game.

Most Steals in an NBA Game

While blocks may get all the highlights and fire up the crowd, steals are the real game-changing plays on the defensive end. By stealing the ball, a defender is also stealing a possession. Add up several steals over the course of a game and win probability is dramatically affected.

What is the individual record for most steals in an NBA game? Since the NBA started counting steals as a statistic in 1973, 20 players have stolen in double figures with none garnering more than 11 steals in a game. Here are the players with the most steals in a game in NBA history.

Most Triple-Doubles in a Career NBA

Posted by Darren Baker on March 23, 2024

(last updated on October 13, 2025)

In the modern NBA game, triple-doubles are more prevalent than they used to be. Don’t get me wrong, a triple-double is still an incredibly difficult and impressive feat, but they do happen a lot more now than in the NBA of yesteryear. There are various factors of why this is happening: more versatile and athletic players, positionless basketball at times, a bigger emphasis on a fast-paced and high-scoring game, stricter officiating and new rules that generally benefit the offensive players, etc.

Just for example, in 2024-25 Nikola Jokic led the NBA with 34 triple-doubles, compared to Magic Johnson leading the league with seven triple-doubles in 1979-1980. Here is a hard-to-believe statistical fact: six of the top ten players all time in triple-doubles are active players. Three more current players are in the top 20 all time. You could say this is the golden era for triple-doubles. However, it is important to note that the NBA didn’t officially start tracking triple-doubles until 1979-1980.

This list is going to spotlight the five NBA players with the most triple-doubles in their career. Please keep in mind that in a short amount of time these numbers could rise even more. To pay homage to Oscar Robertson, here are the men with the most triple-doubles in NBA history.

(last updated on October 21, 2025)

March Madness, in the opinion of many, is the most riveting sports time of the year. The NCAA tournament is a yearly battle ground to achieve legendary status. This is where the names of Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul- Jabbar, Bill Walton, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, Christian Laettner, Anthony Davis, and so many others captured amateur glory. Choosing the best college basketball team of all time is like selecting your favorite Bond character: there are many worthy candidates, and there is no definitive right answer. For this heavily debated topic, it is way too tricky to pick contenders without some guidelines to help as a filter. So to make this exercise a tad less grueling, here is the general criteria used for these teams: had to win the NCAA tournament, no more than five losses that season, at least one future NBA player on the roster, analysis of their tournament run, average margin of victory all season, and only one team allowed per school. Sorry to Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina, and UCLA, who all had multiple championship squads getting consideration. In chronological order, here are some of the best college basketball teams of all time.
