  The Portland Trail Blazers traded Tom Owens to the Indiana Pacers for a 1984 1st round draft pick (Sam Bowie was later selected).

  The Detroit Pistons hired Scotty Robertson as Head Coach.

• June 5, 1975

  The Atlanta Hawks traded a 1976 2nd round draft pick (Alex English was later selected) and a 1976 2nd round draft pick (Bayard Forrest was later selected) to the Milwaukee Bucks. Atlanta was penalized for signing Milwaukee draft pick Julius Erving in 1972.
