Some Knick fans seem to be convinced that their team will miss the payoffs, but it would take a collapse of epic proportions for that to happen:

    How about the issue of picking up a guy in the summer who left his last team because he couldn't be The Man among other reasons, and surrounded him with role players and a future and the ability to become said Man, and then stripped most of that away for another guy that is taking the spot as The Man.

    The honeymoon is over, much faster than even Suns fans of the past 7 years predicted it would be. I wouldn't waste time consoling Knicks fans that are worried more about limping into an 8th seed than the core team issues (and not to mention Isiah's name re-haunting them!)
